Woven by 78 year old Mr.Guo in Lugang, Changhua. Weaving since he was 13, Mr. Guo's studio is filled with chairs and stools piled up to the ceiling! He says his rattan chairs are extra sturdy because he weaves with thick rattan strips. Rattan furniture is popular in Asia because of its great ventilation in humid and hot climates.
